Mr. Jackson started his 23rdyear in education this school year. Beginning as a Paraprofessional, Special Education and General Education teacher, he currently serves as the Head of School of The Momentum Academy. Mr. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University and Master of Arts from University of Houston-Clear Lake. He was a football and track coach for 10 years in the Clear Lake area. Mr. Jackson lives in League City with his beautiful wife and lovely daughter. He enjoys BBQs, fishing, college football, and preaching God’s word.
Mrs. Ehlers, Co-Founder of TMA, began developing the concept of a private school for students with learning differences when she was unable to find such a school in the Bay Area for her special needs daughter. Partnering with Melissa Hodges, she opened TMA in February, 2014. Mrs. Ehlers holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UTMB and a MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University. She taught for seven years at Westminster Christian Academy prior to starting TMA. Mrs. Ehlers, her husband and two children live in League City.She enjoys spending time with their friends, traveling, shopping and reading.
Mrs. Hardin has served in the field of education since 1989 when she was asked to develop an early childhood program at her church. She then went on to work as the EC Director at Westminster Christian Academy for 20years. She has served as a teacher and administrator in both the private and public school communities developing early childhood programs, staff curriculum/trainings, and mentoring staff. She obtained a Professional Administrators certificate and Early Childhood Trainers license from the State of Texas. Currently, she enjoys serving the TMA family as the Office Manager. Mrs. Hardin and her high school sweetheart, John, live in League City where they raised their two sons. She enjoys family time, camping and travel (when they can get away), especially visiting Costa Rica to visit their youngest son.
Sam Jordan served 4 years in the USAF and then earned a BS in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Florida. After graduating from UF in 1981, he worked 41 years for IBM corporation as a computer programmer. He retired from IBM in early 2022. He and his wife have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. He lives in League City and enjoys playing with computers and reading.
Ms. Wester has been an educator teaching students for 32 years. She has taught for twenty-three years in elementary schools in two districts, Dallas ISD and Dickinson ISD before coming to TMA. She has taught 2nd - 6th grade in public schools. She also teaches drivers education classes in the evenings and summers. Ms. Wester is a graduate of Austin College in Sherman, TX with a BA in Psychology and a Master's in Elementary Education. She also has certifications in English as a Second Language and Principal Leadership. She has genuine and personal compassion for students with ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, and anxiety. Her hobbies include reading, working jigsaw puzzles,and spending time with her nieces, nephew, great-nephew, and great-niece.
Ms. Riley has been a Sign Language interpreter for over a decade. Ms. Riley studied music and Bible/missions at Arlington Baptist. This school year marks her 19th year in education. Ms. Riley has lived oversees and speaks Russian as well. She is passionate about sharing with our students and could be heard speaking in English, Russian or silently signing ASL. Ms. Riley has grown children and young grandchildren.
Formerly from the Dallas area, Mrs. Hickman was a Deaf Education teacher for 7 years, a Special Needs Minister for 7 years, College Minister for 6 months, and has been a group fitness trainer for 6 years. She loves to bring fun to the learning environment while building students’ self-awareness and confidence. She lives in League City with Grant,her husband of 4 years and her cat, Sadie. She loves to run, workout, play games, and she and Grant love to try new restaurants. She’s a graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Stacy is an active volunteer at her church and loves to work with high school and college age students.
The 2024-25 school year will be Mr. Lambert’s 34th year in education. He has taught various Science and Social Studies courses, mostly at the high school and community college levels. He holds a Social Studies Composite Teaching Certification and a Master’s Degree in Education with emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction. He has served as curriculum team leader and on Advanced Placement advisory boards at three area high schools. He attended the University of Delaware, Rutgers University, and the University of Houston main campus. Throughout his career he has also served as a coach and club sponsor. His favorite hobbies include surfing,sailing, scuba diving, and woodworking.
